i do not know how to describe this isssue so i'm hoping someone else may shed some light. the car is started and initially it drags like it doesnt really want to get into the next gear or accelerate properly. but eventually it does. what causes this? it seems as though it 'idles rough'

it has always seemed as though it does not want to 'kick into that next gear' at first. on the highway it isnt a problem but only when it is started for the first mile or so.

where does the rpm gauge need to be at? when started this car seems to be 1000 or in between 1 and 2 is that proper or related to this issue?

 

it should idle around 1k it might be missing whens the last time you did a tune up? also check your tps and 02
