I test rode one for 50 minutes and liked it but not enough to buy. I also test rode the CBR600F4i and VFR800/Interceptor the same day. The 919 was comfy with its upright riding position but there's no wind protection whatsoever and the bike is quite small. Its basically a CB600F Hornet from Europe with the old CBR900RR engine thrown into it, although tuned for midrange power and with fuel injection. It had plenty of power but I found the fuel injection to be a bit abrupt at slower speeds. I was rding with a CBR1100XX and had a hard time keeping up because of the wind pushing me back at higher speeds. The engine had the power to stay somewhat close to the XX but I couldn't hang on tight enough to completely hold it wide open. The riding positon has your arms out and sort of cups the wind against your chest - good upperbody workout on the highway. It handled better than I thought but its no F4i. For the money I'd go for the F4i. They're the same price here in Canada and the F4i has better suspension. All the F4 needs is a better seat such as a Corbin. Have you also considered Yamaha's FZ1? I'm told its worth the extra money because of its better engine, suspension, and wind protection. I was sold on the VFR800/Interceptor and plan to get one after I sell my SV650S
thanks for the very helpful remarks.
kinda OT my buddy is looking at a sv650 (pretty new rider) how did you like it, and why are you selling?
Thanks
Scary <---- who's 6'3" frame is gonna try that f4i out

I love my SV but have been doing alot of long distane highway touring and find my legs get cramped after 3 hours. This is my 4th year riding the SV and its kept me entertained but a Honda VFR800/Interceptor is going to be my next bike. I test rode one and fell in love with its comfort and extra wind protectiion and legroom. Overall the SV is alot of bike for the money. I used to ride a Yamaha FZR400 but stopped riding for 8 years. The SV is a great re-entry bike but it could be a handful for somenew riders.
