Crx shaved handles

Ok so, I know I need to get the rear exterior handles for a 4 door civic of the same year range but my question is about some metal rod.

I heard I needed to get some rod, not only the handle itself and that is the question I have. Which rod?

There is a 90 civic 4d rear door outline. Since I have a 90 crx si.

So... Which rods? Can anyone help me? Thx!

the only part you need from the 4dr is the handle itself, i just swapped my passenger side handle last week, and the only thing i used was the handle, no rods. i actually removed the rod that was used for the lock mechanism.

Remove your lock rods so you can't be slim jimmed. You have to transfer the little plastic pieces that pop onto the rod, but other than that you are good to go. The door release rod already in the car works fine.
