Default Y1 cable gearbox for B16a can hydraulic clutch be used? what is the difference?

hi guys,

Just wondering what is the difference between a Hydro clutch and a cable clutch? I believe the splines are the same for the Y1 gearbox.

What are the differences? Can i retro fit a hypersingle hydro clutch on the Y1 gearbox?

Thanks,

No, the spline size is larger on a hydraulic trans. It wont fit

half true, the 90-91 cable trannies require the smaller splined clutch, the 92-93 trannies can use the normal hydro clutch.

90-91(y1,s1,j1,a1):uses different clutch
92-93(ys1):uses 92-01 clutch
