Head looks like a beauty but it is not ported. The original speckles from the honda mold are still on the runners. Look into that.

thanks for the compliments guys.......i too am excited with the work
it really is sad that i have to put this beautiful piece of art back on the block to get all dirty again but oh well
i never said the whole length of the runners were ported....this is a daily driver, street p&p job, cleaned up and opened up the surfaces better flow/ minor power increase
this list of things cost $470:
1. hot tank
2. pressure test
3. 3 angle valve jobs
4. resurface head
5. bowl work (p&p)
6. valve stem seals (actual pieces i did not provide them with)
tbone: ya eastwoods did it and i dropped the head off last thursday with the head and valves and it was ready today.........i'm a happy customer...in fact so happy i gave mark (the guy who did the work so quickly for me) a $30 tip--i gave them $500 total)
Giovannie: the pics before and after are of MY head

i neglected to get the whole thing ported and polished for two main reasons:
1. i don't need that type of job for the application (daily driver...soon to be turbo)
2. the $ situation (it would have been a few hundred dollars more)

i understand the money part, but does it really flow that much better if you did the whole thing? i plan to do all motor daily driver. will this help?
Who ported the head, and why weren't the facets in the combustion chamber removed?
It's not the best port work I've ever seen, but far from the worst either. The actual work in the ports themselves isn't that bad at all.
question? you are running .5mm oversized exhaust valves is this for you current nitrous set up or for you new turbo project?
Ya the valve seals are only like 2.50 each at the Honda dealer, so no biggy there. Head looks nice, i hope they didn't mill it to much as you said you are going turbo. Can't really see the tab from the pic. Also i think you should of had them do a slight port on the intake and exhaust runners just to clean them up. Nothing major as you said you are going turbo, and you wouldn't want to mess up the air flow into the chambers.
looks like clean work, i wouldn't know in comparison to other places but sure does make a difference in comparison to the before pics
how come you just didnt get the whole thing ported and polished? is it really that much more?
you get what you pay for though.......
