To expand on the Integra brake up grade...

Yes the Integra front rotor and caliper will bolt right up to the Civic/CRX knuckle. You do not need to change the Master Cylinder or portioning valve and this is a great upgrade.

You can also add the Integra rear disk brakes to a Civic/CRX. Long story short, it is a lot of work (you need to change the MC and Portioning valve along with the E brake cables) for no extra stopping power.

Quality brake pads and tires are the best way to improve stock brakes. I highly recommend Porterfield pads and shoes for the early CRX with or without the Integra brake up grade.

Stock brakes with pads aren't sufficient for this car any longer.

Fastbrakes also makes a kit for the front to use newer civic (or other model)calipers with a 11 inch front Corrado rotor.

my setup:

85 Prelude Si master cylinder
86-89 teg proportioning valve
86-89 Teg stainless steel lines
86-89 Teg rear disc brake "upgrade"
92-95 DX/CX Civic front Brake calipers
Hawk HP+ brake pads in front
normal rear pads
Brembo blank rotors. (EG fronts, Teg rears)

this setup gets great initial bite with easy pedal modulation. i don't get any fade currently. that was before the B swap, though. i chose to go with the EG front calipers because the piston size is the same as that of the standard Si calipers. the tegs are slightly larger so you have to push more fluid. also, pad selection and spare parts are easier to find.
