I saw this topic recently at clubrsx.. Im just curious to see what other ITR owners think about it..

My complaints?

I love my R, no issues or problem or nothing so far..

complaints/concerns?
maybe only thing about it is that it has high theft rate..

Im curious if any of u have any other problems..which also could be personal

Sucks that insurance screws everyone after theft or wrecks.

Sucks that you can't really be 100% sure about ur badge number if you buy an R that has been previously stolen and rebuilt.

i love mine i just had a 60k tune up new plugs timing belt valve adjustment
and it drives great. i guess for me its the worry about theft.
and ive also noticed over the years bugs like to get in my car espcially in the water channels in the trunk. example frogs, spiders and also in the door sill i think a whole colony of ants have moved in under the carpet lol and its amoney pit and mugen stuff is not cheap. other than that

I don't see any MAJOR problem with my R
with 116k miles the only problems that my R have now are
-Oil pan leak
-Throwout bearing
-Possibly inshaft bearing too since I hear swirling noise once I let off my clutch. But I drove it for 20k miles already it's still fine.
-Clutch almost done, sometimes is good sometimes is bad (but still I drove it for 20k miles)
-Slightly crack on T-Belt and alternator belt
-Front LCA bushing started to show cracks
-Check engine light for my FIRST o2 sensor!! (strange!! I am running a test pipe so the SECOND o2 sensor would've been on. The light was also on for a week or so and then off for another week)

Problems used to be in car when I first got it:
-Negative side of the battery bracket was loose. One more strong vibration the connector will be out.
-Engine moves a lot when I give gas during idle.
-Thermostat failed and it just keep wide open
-the owner swapped the left side of the tire to right when he is taking out his Koesi K1 out of the car.

Only complaint is that it attracts too many ladies!

other than that...
-burns oil
-gets scoped out by crazy ricer mexicans at walmart
-spends to much time in the garage because of above...

The Integra Type R is far from perfect....it's a cheap econobox Honda that performs well on the track. That is what I like about it. The list of comlaints would be a mile long.

Very difficult to totally get rid of shakes and shimmies, due to the tighter and stiffer nature of the car's components.

It only costs $400 to drive it there and back. $380 if I took off the Moogen wing.

You can sleep in your tow car but you can't drive your house...

Not to mention AC to escape the VIR heat.

It's not perfect, but it's as close as anyone has come to making a perfect car. Only problem is that H doesn't seem to want to sell R's here anymore

Theft. And as a second/track car, no real complaints. For a daily driver, the list goes on and on.

Complaint:

Your always working on it no matter what....its just never done.

In reality though, I've driven new M3's, Corvettes, etc, and I just don't like the feel of them compared to my ITR. The M3 is too heavy and bulky for me and isn't as much fun to drive. All I need is AC, PS, radio, and 5 speed and I'm happy haha

I hate the integra stamped into the back bumper! After driving with no cat for awhile that gets all dirty and its a pita to get out. There are bunches of things to hate, but even out with the things ya love.
