so now that i go the stock wheels back on , the clear corners kinda stand out more than they used too...i'm thinking of smoking them , whats the best way of doing this, tint , or some kinda spray ?

Smoking them wont make them stand out MORE? Why dont you just put on the stock lenses if your worried about standing out.

 

i already have clears, how do i smoke the clears i have

 

nightshades...thats what I used and it works great. I got it from a local performance shop...dont really know where else u can get it at though

 

i dont like the amber corners, i'd rather have the smoked/clear look

 

They look kinda dark in this picture. im gonna redo them so they are slightly lighter.

My friend has them on his NBP ITR....which also happens to be for sale.

If he doesn't sell the lenses with the car, I'll reserve them for you and you can buy them from me when I come down to Dallas this August. Probably wouldn't be more than $25.

 

Dude, if you smoke them, they'll melt into a big, gooey puddle! But i guess if you REALLY wanted to smoke them, you could grind them up and roll a big 'ol plastic blunt But seriously, you can get smoked paint for blinkers.

actually, i smoked my lenses with a heavy duty tint (called Normex or Form-x film), if u ever go to Houston, visit Texas Art Supply, and ask for "taillight tape" they can hook u up

 

tinted ambers...

ive tinted my clear corners, just enough to where they dotn have that "shine".........

 

does anyone have them tinted on a white R?

Hrm, i haven't seen smoked lenses on a CW... wonder how that looks...

 

I like the clears personally. After all when you look at the clear corners, they look more like the headlights.

Brandon - The only reason he HAS clear corners is because his wife bought them as a gift! (Otherwise I would have the ambers).

it's just some kind of smoked signal

and got it in Vancouver about a year ago and paid $80 CAD

 

We smoked the signals on my friends black GSR. Got housed


actually we used transparent black spray paint, available at your friendly hobby shop, turned out really well. just lightly sand, then a lot of light light coats. it looks clear at first, but let it dry and coat it again. be patient and it will look nice

 

I've smoked a signal...the plastic really bites at the lungs. I'll stick with my Hoyo de Monterrey's.

 

mine were REALLY dark, but the still flashed amber and were bright enough!
