Default Tire Rack: steelies not good for drag radials...

Is this true? They said the stress induced by the drag radials is too much for the steelies, causing them to break.

HAHA! If you can get one of those to break with a Honda.. then you need to go race Adam ot Steph.

The only problem I see is its hard to get steelies wide enough to be beneficial.

Yeah no ****...I don't see anyone breaking a wheel unless they are also breaking into the 7s or 8s...

They are also HEAVY, which is not good...

A stock 15" steel rim is just about the same weight as my Mugen MF-10's with tire, Kumho 712 215-40-16...I wouldn't use one, just go by a light weight rim.

Yeah they did say that the guy that was using the steelie was faster than the average. Looks like i'll be buying some wheels to race. Steelies aren't wide enough.
