whining started again after a new diff and about 100 miles
so my last diff...it started this whining/whirling sound like the turbulence of a plane. then in awhile, the whining/whirling got louder and my gearings in the diff started making noises...few 100 miles later, my diff gives out and my gears inside shatter.
my new diff is doing the same whirling/whining noise again and i really dont want to repeat the same thing! its less than 100 miles. i bought an 02 with 29k miles (diff). has anyone had this problem?

so after much research, i've concluded the noise to be the wheel bearings.
so my next question is: WHAT WEARS DOWN THE WHEEL BEARINGS LIKE THAT?

bad alignment and/or crap getting into the hubs. Could also be water getting in the hubs. Submerge the rear of the car lately?
