howdy folks, i am having a bit of bother with my light switch on my ee9(civic vt). you know how we have two settings on the light switch, first setting for just side lights then second setting for dipped beam(which includes side lights). now this seems to work fine when the ignition is off but when the engine is started the side light setting no longer works and just puts on the dipped beam setting as what is expected when i switch to the dipped beam setting.
does anyone know what could be causing this?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

do you have an alarm? it could be some thing with that, also check the grounds. A bad ground could do weird things

 

nope no alarm fitted, so you reckon that any relays or the light switch itself should be fine?
