I got a hulog and burn1 at the same time. They came with a disk and nothing else. I dont know wht goes with what. ANyway I ran the drivers and downloaded Freelog and tried to run it. I cant get any reaction from the datalogger. So I tired ECU COntrol and still got nothing. I think I have it on the right COM but I'm not sure. I hate this thing at this point and want to throw it against the wall. Can someone help a tuning noob get there datalogging to work. I have tried pgmfi and cant get any response. Can someone give me a step by step on how to install this and what to use to datalog with crome.
In order for the Hulog to work the ECU must be powered up. Just in case your trying to bench test it....it won't work without power to the ECU.
Other than that recheck that your computer com port is set to 38400 and your software is set to that same com port and baud rate.
Check to make sure that your Hulog is connected properly to the CN2 pins of the ECU.
Hulog Black wire/Ground goes to pin 1 of CN2
Hulog Red wire/RX goes to pin 2 of CN2
Hulog blank space/+5V goes to pin 3 of CN2 (This pin is not used with the Hulog)
Hulog white/TX goes to pin 4 of CN2
If you didn't get the Crome Tuning PDF on your CD Click here. Save this PDF to your desktop it has a step by step of everythign you need to do in order to get the Hulog up and running.

here is a step by step
install the HULOG drivers.
hook the hulog up to your ECU
hook hulog to your laptop.
make sure the port information in your tuning software is the same as your HULOG in windows. you can check by going to "control panel", double clicking system, go to Hardware tab, click Device Manager. click the + beside Ports, find your HULOG (i think its called Serial to USB Device), right click it and go to Properties. from here you can find out what port your hulog is using (90% of the time, this is what causes the problem, people dontknow what port the Hulog is using, and so the software cant communicate with it)
so once you know your ports, and baud rate, make sure that data is the same in your tuning software
turn the car on, open the datalogging software, click connect, and start. you should be datalogging
if it doesnt work, try flipping the connector on the ecu around.
