wanker clutch problems...help!!
ok, i've spent a great deal of time searching for the solution to this, but i haven't found anything that really helps me out w/my problem (so don't flame me
).
anyways, here's the deal. this problem only occurs after driving my car for a while (i.e. 10-15 minutes). what happens is that i get a loud creaking/groaning noise when i push in the clutch pedal. it is coming from somewhere in the engine bay. also, the pedal feel changes -- it gets harder to push, and is not smooth feeling like when the car is cold.
i've already changed out the slave & master cylinders, but that didn't do sh*t. it seems to me that something is heating something up, causing this annoyance (i must note that this problem started to happen after i took off the upper heatshield of my cat - damn noisy rattle) since it only starts to happen after driving around for a while.
the clutch still engages at the same point, there is no slippage, and it is still easy to move the shifter into every gear. also, there is no grinding.
what the hell is going on?? i've already spent over 300 bucks,
and i don't want to drop the tranny, only to have this problem come back again!! any feedback is much appreciated!!

I have the same problem
creaking and squeeking... clutch pedal noises.... car drives fine..

mine does the same thing, throwout bearing clutch, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder has all been replaced, it also has been bled....still does that same crap. it drives me infuckingsane.....im going to pull the slave cylinder out tonight and grease it up like mad with some white lithium grease.
Same thing happens with me. I did have the throwout bearing replaced when I had my clutch put in in feburary. The weird thing is that it goes away sometimes. Also if I do not drive the car the a day or two, the clutch feels smoother but once I drive it, the noise would come back and it would get harder and harder to push in the clutch. If anyone find a solution please let me know. I have tired greasing the "push rod" thingy where the fork is just like another member did on this board but the noise is still there.
Also how do you know if you need to bleed the clutch? What are some symptoms of air in the system? TIA

i think that if there is air in the system, the pedal actually gets softer to push in. THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS
EDIT: for those of you w/this problem -- do you still have the heatshields on your cat?? i'm beginning to wonder if this is the solution to our fvcking problems -- since the cat is directly below the firewall. just a thought.

hmmm maybe I have to bleed it. When I frist got my car back after the clutch replacement, it was really easy to puch the clutch pedal in. Thought it was normal because I heard clutchnet's pressure plate is softer than oem.
i am also going to adjust pedal freeplay tonight and grease the clutch master cylinder rod that comes through the firewall with a bit of grease around it....that might cause problems....who knows. It makes me not want to drive my car though...i think heat is a culprit of part of the problems though....

yeah, so my question is this -- do you guys still have the cat heat shields on?? i noticed that this problem started to happen after i took those noisy bitches off...
please let us know if that will find the problem junglistgsr. Well I still have the heat shield on. No cat though. Maybe it's heat from my turbo cause it's right next to the shift fork?

well, i took out my slave cylinder, greased the hell out of the ball end, and completly flushed out the old fluid in the system...
...didn't do ****!!! still getting problems after car warms up. looks like i'll have to wait until i change out the clutch to replace everything in there to clear things up

Damn it. I do not really want to have to get the clutch taken out again. Please do not tell me that the throw out bearing needs more grease.
