Default Door lock "C" clip

Does anyone know where I can order the C clip that you need to hold the lock cylinder in position? I have no lock cylinder in my driver door so I ordered one, http://www.hondaautomotivepart...+LOCK
part number 16 in the illustration. But when it came, the locksmith installing it for me said I needed the C clip. Does anyone know what that is and where I can get it?

you need part number 6 from the pic. I imagine you could get it at the dealer. They might even have something that would work at napa/checker/auto zone....

I thought it was part 6 but now I don't think it is. I am pretty sure I have something exactly like that already in my door and its used for something else. Is there any other C clip that you know about?

BTW what is this?

Is that for the ignition or is that also for the door? If so, the clip at the end (far right in the middle picture) looks like a C clip to me...?

that's for the door, if you bought the lock cylinder, it would have come with all of those pieces put together. That is a clip, but it holds all the piesces of the cylinder together. the one that holds the cylinder inside the handle is number 6. You can kinda see where it would be and the other part on the end of the cylinder.

Hm I don't really understand because I don't do the work myself. I don't see anything that looks like a C there though..

Why do you think there are two different part numbers for the lock cylinder?
Theres number 15/16 on this one

and theres number 2/3 on this one

Do you know the difference? I bought number 15/16 and was told I still need a clip. But I have the number 6 ring which is for the handle already on my car and thats not what I need.

Hit up a junk yard, the dealership could never get me the little clips I needed.

Yes, the dealership does suck. They are overpriced too. But they do have pretty good parts, depending on what you're looking for. But I will definitely be hitting up all the local junkyards tomorrow or Monday, cause I don't think any will be open tomorrow. I just want to have an idea of what exactly I'm looking for before I go though. Is it common to find 92-95 hatches or coupes in junk yards? Last time I went to junk yards Hondas were the last things I was looking for.

I brought new door locks for my 1995 Honda civic and the hardest part of removing the locks were pulling the C clip that held the door lock to the plastic door handle. I ended up breaking it so I have an easy fix for you, if you want a true "Honda fix" all you have to do is get a paper clip and bend it around then use pliers to twist it right.

This is the clip that holds the door lock in place

This is how you use a paper clip to hold it in place
