brand new bad piston rings
ok so i put new piston rings and a new head gasket in my ls-v-tec turbo ek and when i turned the car back on it was smoking white smoke now is this normal or is my brand new rings bad.
now to be honest i didnt clean the pistons or re hone the block i just put the new piston rings in any help would help me

not necessarily.
If the 'smoke' disappears, it's coolant. if it lingers, it's oil.
I've seen oil smoke many times that didn't have a blue tinge to it.
