so my car has been miss firing lately aroud 2k rpm and it has a very weird iddle when it first warms up and as soon as get of the freeway it starts up again. we checked my plug, distirbutor, wires, everything is good. could it be just the TPS gooing bad?

 

It could be....but then it might not be. Check the voltage.

 

a bad TPS sensor wouldnt be an intermittent problem it'd be all the time.

 

could it be going bad? thats why?

 

TPS wouldnt cause a misfire though itd cause you to have no throttle.

 

im dealing with a misfiring issue right now too.

but id check your coil and your alternator make sure its putting out the right voltage providing the ignition with the proper amount of current to supply spark.
