my friend has a LS swap ... He has Toda stage 1 cams and the bottom end has high comp pistons... but for some odd reason when the car starts up in the morning it will idle fine until throttle and thats when we have our problem... if the car idles and warms up then its fine to drive.. The cams are reallly loud on cold starts but quiets down when it is warm...can the cams be the problem??

 

sounds like you might have a lifter that is collapsing

 

any other solutions to this problem?

is the cam thats loud or the valve train, you might need a valve lash adjustment.

 

is sounds like the cams but i dont know...the weird thing is that the noise goes away after the car is warmed up
