i have a 1997 honda civic ex with a jdm b16 redoing my harness due to someone F****** up both my dizzy plugs big time. i have a virgin 96-98 ex 5spd harness so everything will p'n'p. i wanted to know what dizzy to use though. i have the big dizzy plug and i know the 99-00 si had the same big plug too. i just wanted to know if that si dizzy will plug right in or if i have to repin somethin. thanks for any help

 

are the distributors from D and B the same for those model years?

You should be good. Ive never cross-referenced the numbers myself or paid that much attention to obd in regards to distributors....BUT if you want to be 100% certain, just cross-ref the numbers for the Si dizzy and the one for the 96-97 Del Sol VTEC. If the #s match, so will the plugs

 

yea i never thought of that. thanx im gonna try that out... i wanna say that the 96-98 harness has 8 wires i believe and the em1 dizzy has 9 but dont qoute me on that

 

bump yo theres two different ones.... td-81u.....td-80u for the del sol.

 

Buy the one for the del sol. You know its going to have the same plug as the civic of the same year.

 

yea im gonna get the one for the del sol.... the problem is i dont know is the diffrences between the td-80 and the td-81 dizzys.... is it the wiring??? would my harness p/n tell me what dizzy to use??? HELP
