Silverstar and air intake ?'s

Ok so my silver star head lights, one is white, one yellow. Why yellow? Other ? does the shape of the air filter matter? I have a K&N filter but its cilinder shape Does that matter?

many head lights come in different colors so that may be why one is yellow and as far as the filter i really dont think the shape matters
