Default HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys and gals, i just got a chipped ecu for my 2000 civic ex(obdIIb i think) when i started my car, a cel came on and it idles really rough, when i try to rev it, it kinda miss's and its running rich, what could be the problem???????

You need to tell us what the CEL is for us to help you better.

That will give you a general (in OBD-I form) code, to get the P codes you need to get it read with an OBD-II scanner, your local garage should have one, but if not, autozone/pep boys/advance auto will all run an OBD-II scan on your car for free, it takes only 5 minutes and the P code will be a lot more accurate than the OBD-I style code, though the OBD-I style code is more general, it's better than nothing.

did you get it off ebay?

if so, thats probably the problem haha.
and is it chipped for the corresponding motor?

I already have a OBDII scanner but when its hooked up, it shows error on my scanner, yes it is off ebay and i was worried some sh*t like this would happen. could it be my jumper harness? i told the guy my specs for my car 2. any other suggestions guys?????

alot of people on ebay just advertise for "skunk 2 chips", "mugen chips" blah blah blah, if you want you're car to run right, it needs to be basemapped to atleast a close match to your motor specs.

you cant chip an obd2 ecu correct? if not then how did you chip your obd2 ecu???

that guy said he tests his ecus in running "dynoed" vehicles but i think thats a load of crap.... but i ordered a basemap chip from zilla motorsports i think and i heard their ok but im suppose to tallk to this guy today so i'll get back to u guys on that.....
