Default Question on Cam Gears & other performance "dress ups"

How much power have people seen or gotten (dyno proven please) when putting cam gears on their stock car (or at least stock cams) and tuned them?

Also, (dyno proven again please), how much power has been shown to b gained from a pulley kit on a stock motor? as in a non-built up motor, not a fully nothing but stock motor, just one that's that heaviler modified.

Thanx,

Jay

New cam gears are adjustable so you can tune them when you dyno tune your car. You cant adjust stock ones

Like he said, performance cam gears are adjustable. This means you can either advance or retard cam timing based on what your car needs. It helps to have cam gears when you are getting your car dyno tuned. Adjustable cam gears will give you no added wheel horsepower, especially they are being used on stock cams. On stock cams, they will improve your throttle response and acceleration depending on how they have been tuned. If you have performance cams, these gears are a must and that is where the fun starts and they actually do more than just give you a little more punch. Hope that helped.
