Last year they did not have that many t&t nights. This year they actually have pretty many and they also have this thing called street battles which looks to be an index class with payouts.

http://www.maplegroveraceway.com/streetbattles.asp

Last year I went to one t&t and it was pretty packed I only got about 4 runs in but I did not get there till after 7 and gates open at 4. This time going to try and get there when the gates open.

I don't see why not. They have dragsters running and what not. I think you should come and lay the smack down on the v-8s

Well just got back from Maple Grove and things still haven't changed. The tech guy was still an *******, tried to tell me that my firesuit was not really a 5 layer and that it was labeled wrong. This is the sponsorship firesuit that was custom made from Pyrotect. Then the tech guy procedded to tell me that my seat belt mounts were incorrect and that if I would run a "real" event such as NHRA it would never pass. Funny I been running NHRA events for 4 years now. Then he tells me that I will be running in the "Hot" lane and I will get 3 passes. WTF is the point of going to a test and tune if you can only get 3 passes? I asked him why. He said your car is a race car. I said so is every other car here that is why we are here to race. Then he tells me the car is not street legal. I said it is inspected and emmissioned, registered and insured so how is it not street legal. He says it has slicks. I am like you have to be kidding me. So I get stuck in this Hot lane.

Brian had a little more luck he was in the regular test and tune lane and got 12 runs or something nuts like that.

It doesn't make any sense. Everyone pays the same amount why can't we get more then 3 or in tonights case 4 runs in? I got there right when the gates opened at 4 and had to sit till 6 to get my first run while all the other Non-hot class cars could just go around and around.

What a waste of gas money and my time. To maple grove. Maybe one day they will get thier act together, and also hire some staff that aren't ********.

I will let pebbles share his expereince.

this is copied from my IM history.

parachute didnt come out on the last pass. the brakes are **** on the car.
the parachute cable was still in the loop by like an 1/8 of an inch

fuked up the front mount on the front end, damaged the carbon front pretty good, and the catch tray is fuked. it was a fun ride though im going to fix it tommorrow. its nothing really. 9.4@ 158. then baja

i just didnt want to hit that damn catch net at the end hahaha.i said to myself "ah, what the ***"...as im standing on the brake pedal, after i notice the end coming up so quickly

then i fly into the sand/pebble pit, seemed like i drove off a damn 1ft tall curb. haha. so the whole catch tray got filled with pebbles, and it was leaving a trail up the return road

i drove it to the pit shack,

hell ya, good thing for seatbelts

so i got out of the car when its in the sand pit, look at the chute(non deployed) then ask the dude down there, "can i drive it out of here" , he says "i dunno, you can try" haha so i get back in, start the bitch and off i go, reverse out of the pit, drive up the return road. haha

hahahaha they even had a tow truck down there for me, haha

I ran after dave's pass and there was a sand trial all the way to the time shack. I did not know why until I talked to dave then was laughing my *** off.

Of course there is still a cable. It's an air launcher. It just uses air to launch it, not open it. The cable can be adjusted.

Sorry to hear Dave. Did MG only give you a few runs too?

yea, they only allowed me to make 1/8 mile pulls. we ran 3 times like that, and we asked if we were allowed to run again. so i ran it through the 1/4 and then the plan backfired hahaha

tech guy tells us when we got there we couldnt make license pass's tonight blah blah blah ETC ETC ETC, after our 1st pass the same dude comes up and says " you gotta let off it sooner, you were a little past the 1/8"
then after the final pass, he trys telling me, you went a little faster than you should blah blah blah, none of your pass will count toward your license blah blah blah..... wtf was he wasting his breath for ?
them people are straight DICKS @ MG

The remote system uses air to push the lever.... still a cable involved in that too.

wtf, i go to my local test n tune about an hour away and get as many passes as i can can get, which i usually pace myself to 6 or 7 at the most. They like me because im the only sport compact ready to go properly and i TnT on a .400 tree. To bad its a damn IHRA track so i can't get my license there.

Maple Grove sounds like an ******* parlor.
