Default Don Nase Racing to take on all V-8 field in NH !!!

Don Nase, Jr. and the rest of the DNR team are heading out to New England Dragway in Epping, NH for an incredible challenge. On the night of June 14th the team will be going up against some of the quickest blown and nitrous injected dragster's on the East Coast.

NED is hosting three Jet Car events this year along with some other great racing action. Team DNR will compete in the Pro-Comp class, where they qualified last year in the number 7 spot with their GM Racing - ECOtec - Mobil 1 powered 4 cylinder. The crowd of 25,000 plus loved it, that a 4 cylinder could not only run with but beat their beloved V-8's!!

"We are extremely excited to go back up to NH and compete. Not only is the competition great but the track and it's employees are first class all the way." "It's nice to show the domestic side of racing what small displacement high horsepower engines are capable of these days, and usually until they see it, they don't believe us." says Don Nase, Jr.

If your in town stop by and support the team in their quest, and also enjoy a great night of racing and family fun! See you there!

Thinking about going, looks like the rain will hold off until 10PM.

It's only about 1 1/2 hour drive from here.

missed his first pass, but on the second it looks like the same thing that happened at Etown in May. after he staged and went the build boost, the brakes wouldn't hold and he rolled forward.

There must be video on NYCE1's. Look for coverage from Atco in April. Or last years big events.

The rain moved in about 9:15PM...

The team's weekend was a good one for what it was. Qualifying started behind schedule due to a pretty nasty top end wreck and a ton of oil downs.

The weather was beautiful up until it rained during the first round of eliminations. Qualifying in round one was the best of the year so far for the team. Team DNR was the only car to get down the track successfully. They took the number one spot with a 6.56 @ 200 MPH. Round two the bump had moved to a 6.70 flat, and the number one spot was now a 6.31. The team took their shot at moving into the 6.40 range, but when Don, Jr. went to stage the car, a 13 cent part in the transmission cable hold down broke. This caused the car to try and stage in second gear instead of first and the car rolled the beams. So the second qualifier was a wash.

Eliminations started out good until the two pairs in front of the team oiled the track and the rain came in. Over all it was a great weekend for the team and the many sponsors that help them along the way. Special thanks to GM Racing, ECOtec, Mobil 1, 13-3 Motorsports, Roush Industires and the rest of the supporting cast.
