I have a 95 hatch ready to do a swap. I stumbled into a B16A out of a 89 CRX. it has a cable trans, it is OBD1. My car is an automatic right now, I was wondering since I am converting it over anyway, can't I run the cable trans or do I have to run a Hydro trans?

 

You would have to run a hydro trans since thats what your car is supposed to have in it factory. All the pedalsets that you will find will be set up for a hydro trans.

 

possible to do - but not worth it - try to trade the cable for a hydro - or sell it and buy a hydro GSR or b16 tranny

 

I got air bags on the hatch, so I'm not trying to go fast. I just want to drop this motor in cause I got it for a real good deal. will it be harder to drop this in rather than selling and buying a new trans? I just figured I can run cable or hydro because I have nothing in there now. But I don't know too much about this, so any advice is good advice for me.
