Spring Rate recommendations for Ground Control
Alright, I'm close to ordering GC for my 99 civic and my buddy told me that I should order stiffer spring rates than what GC recommends because their suggested rates are too soft. But if I stick with the suggested I can get a decent price from http://www.diabloautosports.com, assuming I decide to order from them. If I order straight from GC with stiffer rates, I will have to shell out an extra $50+. Is it worth the extra money or should I stick with the GC suggested rates? (Remember I'm a poor college student on a meager budget
) Any opinions appreciated. Thanks.
P.S.~I plan on getting Koni Yellows at the same time if that makes a difference.

i have also heard that the chosen settings are on the soft side.... but I really do not know what rates people are using instead. you can always order a new pair later if you do not like the rates.. I think it is about 50 bucks a pairs for just springs

What are you using the car for? If you are autocrossing or doing track events, the "standard rates" are indeed too soft.
However, if you are looking for the GCs just to slam the car, and get that street racer, "Fast and Ridiculous" look then they're fine as they are.

I plan on doing some autocross with the car. I haven't yet, still waiting on my new wheels and tires. I would like my car to be a little lower though (lower than stock), if that's not too "ricey." (j/k)
