Default auto tranny problem

I have an 01 honda civic ex 1.7 auto. it was driving fine up until about a month ago when out of nowhere after a mile of driving or so i would loose all my gears. i tried the cheap solution (lucus stop slip) still nothing. after that i figured my clutch bands were fried. the car has seen a little abuse (nitrous) so this didnt seem to far fetched. i picked up a boneyard tranny the other day, installed it by the book, everthing was on point and i am still having the exact some problem. it will drive for about a mile then the rpms shoot up and the car goes nowear. if i put it back to park and shut it off for about ten seconds it will resume drive, but again only for about a mile. i am now thinking it is electrical related (tcm) and i am throwing a check eng. light but dont have the scan tool to read it. if anyone has any suggestions or herd of this befor please let me know. i am completely stumped.

Did u have the tranny looked over before u installed it? Maybe the clutches were burned up in that one as well.
