I have a 1992 Honda Accord EX 2.2L 16Valve
This problem keep happening to me, when i get to a stop light where the car will be at a stand still it will vibrate as if it's going to shut down and after that it will actually cut off. when i try to start it back it wont start. after waiting a while it will then start when i turn the key. now i put the car on Neutral everytime i get to a stop light. i think it's the distributor, but it could be the main relay, or bad spark plug or a loose wire. if anyone had this problem already please help me out.

 

If it were the main relay you wouldn't be able to hear a clicking noise because it won't be able to start at all. How many miles (not km) are on the car and when was the last time you did a complete tune up?

Sounds to me like you have a slight issue with the ignition switch as well. I had the same issue happen in my gfs Civic.

 

well the miles are 186 000 and about the complete tune up ???? i dont know because i baught if off my brother in law.it only had like the regular oil change. the last mechanic i took it too said that a wire was loose in the distributor and he said he fixed it but couple weeks later it started giving me the same problem.so here i am looking into it myself.

 

Check the distributor then.
