Default Injen Hydro Shield(Can it be Used on the Injen CAI)

I just purchased a CAI from SC Tuned and i was told that the Hydro shield is only for the SRI not the CAI. I really wasnt sure why you would need it on the SRI, and not the CAI being as those CAI have the Hydro-Lock issue. Some one please clarify this and if the Hydro shield cannot be used on the Injen CAI wha can I do to prevent getting water in my engine, besides staying away from puddles

you can use it on your cai.
it just goes on around the filter.
the engine bay is more exposed than the bumper, thats why it comes with the sri.

Thanks for the info. will pick one up. The shield doesnt cause any noticeable air restriction does it?

not from what i've heard. I have one too. I've heard of some cheapos just using panty hose instead. Then again, i've heard of some A-holes using the panty hose ALONE (completely taking off the stock air box, using nothing else) They shall get whats coming to them.

x2 for no lake-driving.
