Default gsr motor, b16a cable trans?

I recently bought a b16a cable tranny for my gsr block and it seems to hang down lower then my block, So when i bolt it on theres going to be a open space right into the bottom of my tranny. I thought all b series trannys are compatible.? can some one inform me some good information.

the tranny hangs lower than the block. there is a plate to cover the hole. its supposed to be that way..
