Default K&N Air Intake 2005 Accord

Does anyone have this installed? What type of gains do you see? I have had 2 Mustangs in the past with full bolt-ons so I am just looking to tinker with this car.

Not sure if you had already installed a K&N but I ordered one and it will be here tomorrow and I will let you know. If you have already installed one please let me know if you seen any changes.

don't think you will get any gains really. It's just a more efficient air filter which u don't need to ever replace

I thought I would do that to my '04 coupe 6MT/Navi. So I put one on my Yukon, because I pulled a boat and need a bit more of something. What I got was only noise in the cabin. Especially at WOT. On a trip to MN I sucked the cone flat. Never did notice any other gains of any type. So, I took if off and threw it away.
BTW. Cleaning/recharging the thing is a real mess. You get oil everywhere.
Don't do it. My .02.

K&N has a dyno chart showing a 10.9 HP increase on their website, for the full cai. There is a guy on v6p.net that dynoed at 219.9 whp with only an AEM V2 intake, on 87 octane. The gains are real, unlike naysayers claim.

I've been a mechanic for over 30 years and if your not smart enough to know that you must have screwed something up if you sucked the filter flat!I know all of you can read and understand english. The reports show @ 5500 rpms that you see the claimed gains. How many of us drive at this rpm enough of the time to say hell yeah big difference?Yes these intakes let you hear the engine noise. And if your going to try to put more in you have to be able to get more out(such as exhaust)to notice more power/fuel economy. It's always been that way and will always be that way.
