B18C5 swap into a 4G civic/crx.
Hi guys. I currently own an ITR and have been wondering how fast that motor would be in a car that is 300Kg lighter.
I live in Germany and there isn't anyone I can turn to for help except you guys, so I was wondering:
1. How hard is it really to do this swap?
2. Would it be easier to do this in a civic or a crx...or does it matter. ( I wouldn't think it would, but I don't get paid to think.)
3. What do I need to do this swap besides the engine and a 4G civic?
4. Does anyone think this is not a good idea? If so, then why?
Thanks for any help guys. I really appreciate it!!

That motor in a crx would be quite nice...add some bolt-ons and it would be even nicer
1. It depends how much patience, knowledge and mechanical skills you have. The worst thing is all the little stuff that is required for this swap. For me it is a walk in the park, for a good buddy of mine it was a walk through a field of thorny rose bushes.
2. Does not matter, 88 crx hf is supposed to be the lightest though
3. This site should help http://www.hasport.com/M88_B16_partslist.htm
4. The only thing that would make it a bad idea in my eyes is if you were going to take the motor out of your ITR to do this project because I would hate to see such a well engineered factory car (ITR) taken apart...unless it was wrecked of course then "ITR parts for all!!!". Other than that I am all for a ITR equipped 4g civic/crx.

4. I shortly entertained the idea of taking everything out of the ITR and putting it into a civic/crx, but it would break my heart to do it. Maybe I can find an ITR at a junkyard.
