i jus crashed my car today and everthing is fine except the right control arms and a couple of other things(everything is repairable). The problem is that my air bags both went off and i dont have the money to replace them. I was wondering wich would be the bes option. Should i replace the air bags, should i just 4get about the air bags and buy really safe seats, or should i look for a new steering wheel with an airbag and replace it(also i was wondering what else could i do to replace the dash airbag). Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

 

You would have to buy a new SRS computer too if you buy new airbags.

 

I would personally replace the steering wheel with a momo and the passenger airbag with a block off tray.

Look for a part-out in the marketplace. If you have a tan interior, it will be easier to find what you need.

If you do not replace the airbags and you sell the car, you should get it in writing that the new owner knows that the SRS was tampered with. Otherwise you could be liable for injuries due to negligent repairs.

In an Integra, the accelerometers are in the airbag computer. Not replacing the computer can result in faulty sensors, which can cause a deployment failure in the future. I value safety.
