NEED HELP! missing Exhaust stud on B18b1 after engine swap!!
I took my car down to local shop to swap out B18a1 for a b18b1. When I got the car back I noticed one of the studs that holds the header to the head on the very far left was missing. Look like it got broke off about 1/4 of the way into the head. Is this a problem? I haven't noticed any blowby near the missing stud; everything seems torqued down, the shop said it wouldn't be an issue if im only missing one stud. They said it is too much of a hassle to try to drill it out or easy out it and over size it and retap.
Just need other opinions if having a missing stud is going to create problems in the future.
Some day I plan to go LS/Vtec and toss a B16 head, but want to make sure things are cool untill then.

you might want to try to get that out. I had one broke in the same spot, it really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but I did have to take my header off. Was it broken b4 u did the swap?Eventually it will be an exhaust leak.
Yea that was kinda my argument, im pretty sure there is a reason Honda puts like 9 of those studs there. I think the guys at the shop didnt want to mess with it b/c im sure one of there guys over torqued it and it snapped off. But really im not sure if the engine already came that way from pick n pull.
Whats a rough ball park price range for a ls/vtec set up not including the b16 head??
