Need help please. car won't start
Hello, I have a 88 civic hatchback with the 1.5 motor in it. For the last few months. It would be hit or miss if the car would start after driving it for a long distance. If it would not start. Waiting for a few minutes would result in it starting agin. I drove it home the other day and parked it out front. I went out to start it and it cranks but will not start. Cranking on the starter will give a very weak spark every now and then. Nothing close to consistant. I have all ready replaced the coil and control modual thinking it may be that. I was told that maybe it is the main relay. Does that sound like it could be the problem or maybe some thing else. The car runs awesome when running. I am new to Hondas but not to cars.
Thanks for any help you may be able to share

I hope this is ok to post. I found this great site that shows how to test the main relay. Pictures and all. I tested my relay and it is bad. I got one on ebay as a buy now. I hope it gets here saturday. Guaranteed good for 6.00 He sells a lot of them there for the hondas and has good feed back. I hope this takes care of my prob. Here is a link to the relay site. great info there
