Problem changing air filter
Hi everyone,
I've been trying to change the air filter in my 2003 Civic lx. The owners manual made it seem like I could just pull the bolts off the housing. When I try to do that, the housing splits at the bolt site. I can fell some sort of plastic ring below where the end of the bolt would be. The ring is now split and I can feel it expanding and contracting as I turn the bolt - as if there is some sort of nut attached at the bottom of the bolt. Anyone familiar with this? Do I have to pry this ring off? I feel that there is something else to this other than just simply removing a bolt.
Maybe I'm crazy.
