Default 99 y8 into a 98 civic ex

I just bought myself a 99 y8 LongBlock because i blew my 98 y8 motor. I was wondering if I could use all my old parts to put on it. I heard that it is different because 99 is the obd2b and my car is obd2a. Can anyone help me out?

just use all your existing parts for example distributor manifold headers etc and you will be fine if its smog you are worried about as long as the engine is the same year or newer you will be fine and you must retain all the origanal smog equiptment that is on your vehicle

Yeah what TWerkd96EK said im going to say as well. Just swap over everything from your current engine to the new one. No differences between the motor.

Hell i Swapped in a jdm d15b into my Vx, and im using a 96 ex tranny with it. D-series are all interchangeable.
