New S2000 owner. ?s on progressive insurance.
Let me go ahead and introduce myself quickly ( i know there is an introduction thread).
Steven Le, 24yrs, clean record. non-student
05 Berlina Black S2000 with 6,198 miles bought from Honda World in Socal.
Came with Lojack, VIN inscribed on windows, and extended warranty.
Purchased for $25,400 (not reflecting lojack and other add-ons) not including tax, lic, etc....$9,400 down. $440 payment.
So i am currently insured under my parents policy through 21st century. i added my S2000 yesterday and they wanted roughly $1,800 every 6 months. my parents has a lot in assests so all our cars has really good coverage (250/500).
since both of my cars (98 civic cx) and S2000 are solely under my name, i decided
to remove myself and vehicles from my parents policy and find another insurance company. i seached the internet and found progressive insurance being "cheaper" than most at $1050 (100/300 coverage with $250 deductable) for both cars compared to $1600 for 6 months.
My question is: does anyone currently have progressive and how reputable are they? i didnt like 21st because they would only cover an additional $1000 for items that were not originally equipped from factory (example wheels or in car stereo). any information of progressive or other insurance companies will help.

I used to have Progressive back in the days. They were pretty good and always prompt on appointments and paying up for any damages and such. No complaints from me in that department. I'm not with them anymore because I found a cheaper rate with Nationwide. When you see those commercials that say saved $400 or what not, they aren't kidding, I have yet to file a claim so don't know how that'll go when and if I ever do.
thanks papa5murf for the prompt response....
i know insurance companies all do several things differently. i spent 3 plus hours on the phone with 21st yesterday...learned quite a bit.
