I'm interested in this thread actually, I'd really like to see what everyone pays for comprehensive, im with geico and liability for my 96 gsr is like 70 a month and 300 a month for comprehensive and I'm 23, im thinkin about switchin to aig direct, they're a bit cheaper, anyone know any other insurance companies with good comprehensive rates, im lookin to switch in the next few weeks.

This HIGHLY depends on your location and a bunch of other things (credit score/history, age, etc.). For reference, my ITR was as much as an E46 M3, and HIGHER than my S2000. The GSR isn't too far behind the ITR on rates.

My current 95 LS is at ~$200 per year for liability.

Holy crap, you guys pay alot for insurance.

25, married, no accidents/tickets
Full coverage on my 00 modded (the full worth of car and parts are insured) GSR, 96 GMC 1500 (lots of money in this too ie; 5 tool boxes, full ladder rack, $800 in ladders). $75k renters insurance, extended coverage on 4 computers, extended coverage on wife's wedding ring.
I pay $169 a month.

USAA baby

Oh and my insurance didn't go down when I turned 25 for all of those who care, but it did go down a considerable amount when I signed my life away till death do us part.

Whatever I have receipts for are covered. Only not on my vehicle insurance policy. Parts are covered along with anything I have in the car such as camera, jacket, microwave whatever. Those are covered under the renters policy. Anything this is OEM on the car is vehicle policy, anything aftermarket including person crap is renters.

USAA is the best. Never had a problem out of them for anything. I would go into more detail but then I would be promoting and I don't think that is allowed on the site.
Only downfall to USAA is you have to be current military or have gotten out within the last two years.

you guys need to know specifics when it comes to auto insurance.

there is

COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE:
covers theft, vandalism, acts of nature, just about anything while your car is parked EXCEPT another car COLLIDING into it.
this portion of the coverage is usually cheap and can be purchased without collision coverage with most companies.

COLLISION COVERAGE:
any collision LOL
usually very expensive
can be left off if vehicle is paid off.

people usually refer to comp/collision coverage as "full coverage"
when there is really no such thing.
every insurance policy has its LIMITS.

I don't know, the one I have covers collision, thefts, acts of nature and all that good ****.

100 dollars a month under my dad's name. I'm 20. But will soon be switching it out under my name since I've never had any tickets or accidents.

True, let me specify.
My coverage (comp/collision) includes 100k/300k/100k worth of coverage.
100k per vehicle, per accident. 300k medical per person, per accident. 100k of property damage per accident.
I can go higher but the chances of needing more is slim and gets quite a bit more expensive. I opted not to go for less as I would preffer not to have the state minimum and hit a new lexus that goes for 60k and only have 20k worth of coverage and get sued for the rest.

nice.

yeah my main point was to to explain what comp covers and what collision covers, and that if you're insurance is too expensive, you can still cover your integra for comprehensive/theft coverage without collision, and not have to pay an arm and a leg.
i always use a 100 dollar comp deductible because it's cheap.
being that the integra is per car made thee most stolen vehicle on the planet, it is a very wise investment for such a cheap cost.

I looked at a few differen companies when I was shopping for insurance. I'm 24, live in Baltimore City with a 95 4 dr GSR and pay about $85 a month. I was getting quotes up to like 300/month with other companies. I ended up with AllState where I also had a renters insurance policy. I have comprehensive with a $100 deductable.

I did not get coverage for collission and it saved about $40 a month.
