Several minutes prior door was mechanically functioning.

As of now, I cannot open my driver door....any thoughts?

 

 

the latch must have come off inside the door or something?

 

It won't open by using either handle?

If so then it's the latch itself. That will be fun to replace, it will be even funner getting the door to open so you can replace said latch.

I am new to this 93 LX. This car also had non-opening-door with previous owner. Him and his freind somehow opened the door. They must have busted mechanism because they had to buy used door to replace it.

I see many scars near latch mechanism.

 

Remove the drivers seat, then the door panel.
You can then try all the linkage you can move to try to open the door.
If you have to drill the latch from inside the door this picture will show you where to drill so as to trip the latch.
Drill at a slight downward angle,after you go thru the first layer
Keep your shoulder pushing the door so it will open when you trip the latch.
the latch will need to be replaced.
