I usually hate buying the 1st year model after buying a 94 Integra and got a ton of problems that cost more to repair than I paid for it. So how reliable is the 96 model year compared to the later years? I didnt see any problems on consumerguide.

 

i have had three 96's hatch sedan and coup and i have had no problem and ice cold ac in all three

 

If you can, get a 1998. The 1997 are fine, but the 1996 have some sort of quirky things about them that aren't on the later models.

Some off the top of my head are the one-piece grill, the shorty bumper, the screw-in bumper clips, etc. It's mostly body stuff.
