Default Removing boot from radiator fan switch

I have a 1991 Honda Civic. Is there any trick to removing the rubber boot from the radiator fan switch located on the back of the block located near the oil filter. I have pulled on this thing repeatedly and it will not budge. Whats the secret?

Is there any other ways to do it? I don't really like the idea of cutting it off because I am going to need to put it back on.

sorry all I know is B-series, but its most likely the same.

that connector simply slides off. Your sensor is probably corroded, spray it with some PB blaster or some penetrating lube, let it soak and then give it a try.

good suggestion.

if its been many, many years since anyone touched it this can be a bitch.

i am lucky and have thin arms so i can get a good angle on this by reaching from the drivers side underneath the intake manifold.
