Default ball joints

i have to replace a ball joint in my 93 prelude h23a1 and i was told that you could just change the ball joint and i was also told you had to replace the whole control arm. does anyone have any info on which it is?

The ball joints on both the upper and lower control arms can be pressed out and you can have new ones installed.

I think in most cases the upper control arm and ball joint are sold as an assembled unit. It's more costly but easier in the case of the upper control arm.

Nonetheless, the ball joints can be replaced individually on both the upper and lower control arms.

moog sells some adjustable UCA ball joints, but i don't recommend them if you are lowered or are going to lower the car.
