ok im thinking of buying my first prelude.
its a 94 prelude 5spd.
the guy that has it put a f23 sohc vtec in it. i dont think it runs but he says it does and every time i go over to his house he still has the dizzy off and just says that it needs a map sensor. so what i really what to know how much time and what all has to go into it to get a swap like that to run. thanks everyone this will be very helpful.

 

I think you should move on to another prelude that runs . That deal sounds a little sketchy...Try to find a vtec H22 model ...

 

yea i know the h22 is a BA motor but the guy needs cash and i think i can take it off his hands for 500 or 800 bucks and the body and paint is in great condition.
its got a vis cf hood, apexi exhaust, drilled and slotted rotors, tein suspension and coil overs, aem cold air intake, and koyo aluminum radiator. but like i said hes in need of some cash.

 

$500- get it then do the jdm swap

 

+1. if you can get it for 500-800, sell the f23 for 200, then pick up an H22 to drop in. sounds like you could have a very nice car for less than $2k...
