2000 Honda Accord Headlight bulb
Hey guys,
I'm thinkin about buyin a 2000 Accord sedan and i was wondering about the bulb sizes for the headlights. I checked the Sylvania website for the bulb sizes and im kinda lost. It says Low beam is 9006 and high beam is 9005. Now which one is the main headlight bulb that you would use at night? I think its the 9006 but not sure. i'm looking at HID kits btw. Thanks for your help!

The bulbs are 9006.
DON'T get an HID kit. I had one of those worthless kits in my 2000 Accord and the light output was horrible. I mean a LOT of glare and poor light distribution.
I even tried upgraded halogen bulbs and I still got a lot of glare from those housings. I have stock bixenons in my new car now and i'd never go back to the kind of horrible light output my Accord headlights gave.
Seriously, don't do the HID kit and just stick with halogen bulbs.
And if you don't listen to me, at least don't go above 6k. You lose light output in return for color. ALL OEM vehicles come with HID bulbs in the 4000-4500k range, most popularly 4300k and 4500k. The different colors you see are due to the projectors in those cars refracting the light in certain ways.

oh damn! really? I had 8000k HID's in my 89 accord and they were amazing! but i was thinkin putting 6000k on this one.
So the 9006 Low beam bulbs are the outer one on the housing im guessing. Right?

Mines came with a pnp kit installed from a previous owner and it has a no major glares. I havent gotten any highbeams flashed at me and the reflector housing cut off is similar as if it would've been with a halogen.
