Default Random Tranny Mount Question

I Freaking stripped out all 3 holes on the rear mount when i put in the new tranny (i know, i suck). I hear helicoil will do the trick but i wasn't sure what size to get or if all 3 holes were equally as deep or w/e.. any help appreciated.

as long as u install the helicoil right and use proper torque, the helicoil will be fine.

heres what u need to do... first u go to sears or any hardware store that sells bolts with ur stock bolts. find something thats the same lenght and obviously thicker... preferably something thats grade 8. then buy the matching helicoil kit, tap it out, clean the threads out, install the helicoils, thread the new bolts in to break the metal tabs on the helicoils, unbolt them it get the broke tab out, then bolt up the bracket...it will be stronger than spec.... its pretty simple and hard to do it wrong. just make sure to get some beefier bolts so that the helicoil kit u buy bites into the aluminum enough when tapping. good luck.

Just for the record, two bolts are longer than the third, or, one is shorter than the other two......good luck.....need some helicoil action on one of my trannies as well.......
