is my civic rare?
hi everybody,
this weekend i picked up a 91 honda civic hatchback. it is a standard hatchback, as it has the d15b1 engine with the dpfi setup. my question is, the car has the 5 speed manual overdrive transmission in it. i was under the impression that transmission was NOT availabe in the standard hatchback with the dpfi d15b1 engine. do i have a rare civic, or did one of the previous owner's swap in the 5 speed manual overdrive transmission?
oh, and does anybody wanna sell me a mpfi setup?
haha
thanks for any responses,
tyler

My 88 STD had a D15B2 and a 5 speed, even though that usually came with DX's only.
I wouldn't worry about it. Put in a better cam, do the MPFI swap, and put on a DX/Si exhaust manifold and better exhaust and you'll notice a big difference.
