Pictures of my E36 M3 3.2L swap into my '88 M3... new CF hood also!
Well, the swap is finally done and she's nice and broken in (although not fully).. it runs like a million bucks, i can't wait to get a crack at a C5! Torque is unreal.. anyway, here she is

DAMN! I am seriously drooling right now. How much did you do the whole swap for? Isn't the s52 like 6 grand+ alone?

custom pistons 11:1 compression, soon to have custom cams. full 3" exaust, no cat(SICK sounding), pnp, alex...fill the rest in, i dont know everything ya know lol
did you use a mount kit? what all was involved? IM me or email me @ apexigsr@hotmail.com with all the info please.
Thanks for the compliments guys! It's been a long and tedious process, but it has certainly all paid off and i've fallen back in love with my car
The specs are as follows:
Engine:
3.2L S50B32
3.0L block
3.2L crank (89.66)
Lightened forged factory 3.0 M3 rods (135mm)
86mm bore 11:1 pistons
Full race cylinder head job (porting/valve grind/etc)
3.0 M3 cams
3" single open exhaust all the way back
OBDI wiring and intake manifold
Precision Performance software
Next week i'm putting on the Euro Mass air flow sensor with big injectors, also a custom programmed Active Autowerke chip and also their 3.5" cone intake, which i'll fab a heat shield for. At that point i'll probably be around 300+ HP and equal torque.
This fall i'm going to install race cams with a 6-1 header, and of course new software again.. then underdrive pullies, and possibly a multi-throttle intake my dad is designing though i'm not disclosing any information about that. My goal is the 330-340HP range.. probably 275+RWHP on a Dynojet.
The tranny is also out of an E36 M3, it's a Jim Blanton built ZF310 5-speed and it's gorgeous, shifts like a dream. Rear end gear is currently a 3.25 Limited Slip (same as an E36 M3), but this fall i'm installing a 3.46 with a 70% lock LSD which i already have.
Suspension is Turner motorsport J-stock spec race springs on Bilstein sport shocks. Turner adjustable sway bar link, aluminum front control arms with offset bushings, Sparco strut brace, reinforced sway bar mount points front and rear.
Wheels are 18x8.5/18x9 Hamann PG2's which are 2-piece forged. Tires are 225/35-18 front 255/35-18 rear, currently Pilots, but just got new Conti Sport 2's up front and will be putting those on the rear as well soon.
The CF Evo rear wing was priority this summer, but i think i'm going to put that on hold in exchange for some Brembo brakes
We'll see how the moey goes, maybe i can afford both. Also 6000k HID's soon too..
My father owns PRecision Performance Services Inc. We build BMW race motors as well as street motors, and do lots of engine swaps. This particular swap is the 50th of it's kind we've done, we were actually the first ones to do it in the US over 10 years ago.. we did the first 6 cylinder 318ti swap in the US years ago (supercharged also).. swaps are our thing
Anyway, thanks again for the compliments.. any other questions? BTW, the swap would cost one around $17k+ for what i have..
