driver door won't open, outside or inside

98 ex driver door won't open, outside or inside
i was driving one day in my 98 ex and when i tried to open the door form the inside, the door would not open! I crawled out the passenger door and tried to open from the outside with the key, no luck. I am able to lock and unlock the door, just can't get the door open. I searched and was not able to find a solution. any ideas???
Tried to take off the panel but was unable to. is it possible to take it off with the door closed?
