If i had the following, what class for autocross would i be under.

Shocks/springs
Intake/high flow cat/header/exhuast
MSD ignition
Aftermarket clutch/flywheel
A transmission from another car with lsd
larger Sway and strut bars

and maybe after market cams

What class would i fall under?

Street Mod!

The trick with autocrossing (assuming you want to have a chance of winning) is to choose a class (based on budget, practicality, etc.) and build your car to that classes rules. Modifying the car then going backwards often times puts you in places you don't wanna be.

Check here for all the class info http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/

Shocks/springs - ok for all classes except stock
Intake/high flow cat/header/exhuast - ok for Street Prepared, Prepared, STS, STX, and Street Mod
MSD ignition - Ok for Street Prepared, Prepared, and Street Mod
Aftermarket clutch/flywheel - don't remember if it's legal for SP, but legal for Street Mod
A transmission from another car with lsd - legal in Street Mod
larger Sway and strut bars - ok for SP, P, STS, STX, and SM

and maybe after market cams - ok for Street mod

Problem with going with Street Mod people are going to the limits of the rules. $2000 wheels, DOT racing tires, big brake kits, AWD, and turboed to the extreme.

When you say trans from another car, what do you mean? a Type R? If it is, then you hav eot go to SM, but if it is out of another GS-R that had an LSD added, then you can run SP. everything else you mentioned is leagel for SP except the cams. Must run stock cams in SP.

high flow cat is NOT allowed in street touring. it is allowed in stx, and stx will also allow you to run a stock tranny with an lsd added. clutch and flywheel are allowed in sp.

That's why you ask us. At least one of us are in a different class and we know our rules pretty well.

the GS-R should be a very competitive G-Stock car. Keep it there... you'll concentrate your spending on things that will actually make you fast, and you'll be forced to "tune" the setup to get the most out of the car rather than just throwing parts at it.

Does this mean that i can use an 98 itr tranny with lsd in my 98 gsr and still be okay in stx?

A. Equipment and/or specifications may be exchanged between different years and models of a vehicle if:
(1) the item is standard on the year/model from which it was taken,
(2) the years/models are listed on the same line of Appendix A (Street Prepared Classes)
The updated/backdated part or the part to which it is to be attached may not be altered, modified, machined, or otherwise changed to facilitate the updating/backdating allowance. The updating and/or backdating of engines, transmissions, or transaxles must be done as a complete unit as available from the factory, including those items required by emissions regulations for a particular configuration.

No that wouldn't be legal for STX cause you are using the ITR tranny which has different gearings than the GSR. You cannot do any tranny work (change ratio of gears) in STS/STX. You can add LSD in STX though.

Nope. GSR and ITR are NOT listed together in Appendix A.

I would have to say no...

Take notice of entry #2. The cars have to be listed on the same line in the rulebook for a legal backdate/update. I don't have a rulebook handy but I'm pretty sure the ITR and GSR is not listed on the same line.
