88 civic issues help!

Default 88 civic issues help!

I just replaced a 88 dx head with a 94 dx head..timing belt seems real tight, timing is on but car has trouble starting and when it does it sounds like it sputing and you have to keep you foot on the gas to keep it alive...im getting fuel and spark but i am seriously stumped.. thanks

make sure you have the firing order correct on the plugs and dizzy

firing order is right,,,would the timeing belt make a difference since its a 94 cam gear ?

Sounds like you put the timing belt on incorrectly. Make sure it's not a tooth off.
